Bennington Young Writers Awards
Students in the 10th, 11th, 12th grades during the current academic year may enter in one of the following categories: poetry (a group of three poems), fiction (a short story or one-act play), or nonfiction (a personal or academic essay). All entries must be original work and sponsored by a high school teacher. Judges include Bennington College faculty and students. Submit online at www.bennington.edu or by mail. Mailed entries must be accompanied by a submission form, available online.

NCWIT-Award for Women & Information Technology
The Award from the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) celebrates the achievements and aspirations of young women in IT and computing, and encourages women’s participation in computing-related pursuits. Applicants must be a high school girl grades 9-12. High school Juniors and Seniors are especially encouraged to apply. GPA of 3.0 or higher, plans for post-secondary education plans and students from groups underrepresented in computing are strongly encouraged to apply. Elks Most Valuable Students Scholarship:
500 scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $50,000! Any high school senior who is a U.S. Citizen may apply for an MVS scholarship. You do NOT need to be related to a member of the Elks. Prudential Emerging Visionaries Award
This program is a national recognition program that celebrates young people for their innovative solutions to financial and societal challenges facing their communities. They are accepting applications from young leaders ages 14-18 who are making change that focuses on two categories: solutions to financial barriers and solutions to social issues. UNIVERSITY OF UTAH ENGINEERING DAY 2023 – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2023
Criteria: University of Utah Engineering day will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. High School students and their parents are welcome to attend. All students must register online to attend the Engineering day. Parents do not need to register. There will be special sessions held for parents about admissions, financial aid, and more. Students will have the opportunity to choose three sessions to attend presentations and have tours in biomedical, chemical, civil, computer science, electrical, geological materials science, mechanical, metallurgical, and mining. Registration for the day will open October 17.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities.
