This Scholarship is for a senior who has participated in the AVID program. You must participate in a program-approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12. Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited higher education institution in the fall directly following high school. Be eligible to receive a federal Pell Grant in first year of college. A scholarship for entering freshmen who reside in the Greater Salt Lake City area. Eligible students are first-generation college students and/or those with financial need. The AAPT Executive Board offers scholarships for future high school physics teachers. THE BRONFMAN FELLOWSHIP
Every year, twenty-six outstanding North American teenagers are selected as Bronfman Fellows. The highlight of the Fellowship is a five-week, all-expenses-paid summer in Israel, where Fellows engage in thought-provoking study and conversation and make lifelong friends. High school students in the 11th grade who self-identify as Jewish, who are from the United States and Canada, are eligible for the Fellowship. The Fellowship begins the summer after 11th grade. The NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund sponsors a scholarly writing contest for grades K-12. The theme for the essay is "What Does The Second Amendment Mean to You?" The NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund continues its yearly Youth Essay Contest celebrating the Second Amendment as an integral part of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
